WHISTLER, BC – Award-winning interior designer Debbie Evans and her team at Whistler Interior Design Ltd. were recently honored by being featured as one of the top interior designers in Perspectives On Design Western Canada.  The colorful spread in the May 15 2012 Coffee Table Book she received brought a smile to the face of the hard-working designer.
“I’m very pleased to see my work highlighted in the book,” responded Debbie Evans, a twenty-three year design veteran and founder of Whistler Interior Design.  “Panache Publishing with the release of Perspectives On Design Western Canada covers the best of professional design in Canada, and to be featured is a wonderful commendation not only of my work, but of the creativity of our team, and the vitality of our client relationships.”
Evans owns both Whistler Interior Design Ltd. and North Face Kitchens & Bath.  She has been living and working in the Sea to Sky and Whistler area for over 20 years and her designs have garnered numerous awards including nine Georgie Awards and two National Sam Awards from the Home Builders Association where she was also honored with the Herman Rebneris Award for her volunteer work.

Her designs can be seen in Canadian Home Trends Magazine, BC Home Magazine, NKBA’sProfiles Magazine, and Best Home Magazine. This is the second book for Debbie as she was featured as one of Western Canada’s top interior designers in the book, Spectacular Homes of Western Canada.
Evans views the design process as a collaboration with her clients, providing spaces of comfort and beauty without sacrificing functionality. “My background in construction and budgeting allows me to execute a design that will improve my client’s lifestyles while offering a clearly defined scope of work and avoiding expensive mistakes,” explains Evans.  “The result is a comfortable working relationship.”
Evans graduated with a 4-year Advanced Diploma in Interior Design from Algonquin College, Ottawa, Ontario, and is a Certified Master Kitchen Designer and Registered Interior Designer.  Recently, she has been focusing on enhancing her company’s client and builder benefits and energizing her professional tool kit with the use of CAD design for project management, renovations and new builds.
“We’re a busy firm, so there’s not much time to stop and celebrate our success,” revels Evans as she continues with her new projects in Vancouver and Whistler and her recent opening of an office in the Dundarave/West Vancouver area.
