WHISTLER, BC – Award-winning interior designer Debbie Evans and her team at Whistler Interior Design Ltd. were recently honored with a feature story in BC Home Magazine.  The colorful spread in the November 2011 issue brought a smile to the face of the hard-working designer.
“I’m very pleased to see my work highlighted in the magazine,” responded Debbie Evans, a twenty-two year design veteran and founder of Whistler Interior Design.  “BC Home covers the best of professional design in Canada, and to be featured is a wonderful commendation not only of my work, but of the creativity of our team, and the vitality of our client relationships.”
Evans owns both Whistler Interior Design Ltd. and North Face Kitchens & Bath.  She has been living and working in the Sea to Sky and Whistler area for over 20 years and her designs have garnered numerous awards including nine Georgie Awards and two National Sam Awards from the Home Builders Association where she was also honored with the Herman Rebneris Award for her volunteer work.

Her designs can be seen in Canadian Home Trends Magazine, Whistler Real Estate Magazine, NKBA’s Profiles Magazine, and Best Home Magazine.  She was featured as one of Western Canada’s top interior designers in the book, Spectacular Homes of Western Canada and portraits of her inspiring designs will also be seen in the book, Perspectives On Design, Western Canada, published by Panache Partners and expected to be released in early 2012.
Evans views the design process as a collaboration with her clients, providing spaces of comfort and beauty without sacrificing functionality. “My background in construction and budgeting allows me to execute a design that will improve my client’s lifestyles while offering a clearly defined scope of work and avoiding expensive mistakes,” explains Evans.  “The result is a comfortable working relationship.”
Evans graduated with a 4-year Advanced Diploma in Interior Design from Algonquin College, Ottawa, Ontario, and is a Certified Master Kitchen Designer and Registered Interior Designer. Recently, she has been focusing on enhancing her company’s client and builder benefits and energizing her professional toolkit with the use of CAD design for project management, renovations and new builds.
“We’re a busy firm, so there’s not much time to stop and celebrate our success,” revels Evans, “but the holidays are a time for reflection, and the BC Homes feature has given us an opportunity to pause for a breath and reenergize for the exciting new year to come.”
