Debbie Travis is the beloved home decorating icon who has produced and hosted three highly successful television series, including Debbie Travis’ The Painted House, which has aired in more than 80 countries around the world, Debbie Travis’ Facelift and From the Ground Up.

The Debbie Travis Group consists of two production companies, Whalley-Abbey Media in Montreal and RTR in Toronto. Both produce non-scripted programming for an international audience. Also in Toronto is her design studio, Debbie Travis Branding.

Ms. Travis started her career as a model in London, became a television producer for UK programming, and today she is currently one of the busiest executive producers in Canada, with series in many stages of development and production.

Debbie is also the author of eight best selling books/ Random House and an internationally syndicated newspaper column/ King Features with 6,000,000 weekly readers across North America.

Debbie has received eleven Gemini nominations, has won three Gemini Awards, received the Crystal Award for Creative Excellence and The Person of the Year Award from McGill University.

In 2005 she launched The Debbie Travis Collection, a paint and home product line for Canadian Tire. The collection consists of more than 1,000 items for the home and quickly approaches the one hundred million dollar mark.

This April 2008, she is launching Debbie Travis Designed Condos and Homes in the Greater Toronto Area. Developed and built by Tribute Communities, the interiors of the homes have been designed with the Debbie Travis touch, stylish and practical. “Good design should not be a luxury, it should be enjoyed by us all.” -Debbie Travis

This year Debbie Travis was chosen to be the spokesperson for the Breast Cancer Cure Foundation campaign sponsored by Aldo. The campaign includes multi-media promotions for The Cure Foundation and their “National Denim Day” in mid-May, aimed at raising money for breast cancer research and a cure.
