Stunning Geometric City Scenes

Throughout the Yahoo! On the Road tour, our crew and Yahoo! users alike have been uploading their inspiring photos to Flickr (like these awesome rear view mirror snapshots). Consequently, we’ve been on the hunt for more striking and unusual travel perspectives and came across “Vertical Horizon,” a series of images from Hong Kong, taken by French photographer Romain Jacquet-Lagrèze (order his photo book here).

After moving to Hong Kong in 2009, Romain Jacquet-Lagrèze began a photographic exploration of the city, trying to capture its diverse atmospheres until, “he realised that the sole common aspect of all these places was the awe one feels when gazing up at the sky between the huge buildings.”

Check out Jacquet-Lagreze’s photobook, “Vertical Horizon,” which he describes as, “a contemplative dive into the raw nature of Hong Kong and an expression of its vertical elan.”
